Desert Wargame

After a major German defeat, the Allies are now moving throughout North Africa. In a small town, a Scottish contingent of the 8th Army has been sent to capture it. The Germans will try to inflict as many casualties as possible by repelling the 1st assault. The Scots are moving towards the town on 2 roads. The Germans have entrenched into the town and don't have any intent in giving it up.
Turn 1: German forces fortify their positions in the town
The Scots begin a large assault upon the town with the tanks rushing up and dealing with the Krauts as the infantry tries to catch up.
Germans are reinforcing the different strategic positions in the town.
The StuG the Germans have is to lay in wait on the road and let the Scots come towards them.

The Valentine tank rushes up the road but has encountered a PaK 40. Both get destroyed in a heated exchange.

The Valentine tank is on fire as the German PaK 40 crew retreat.
A Matilda going up the eastern road gets disabled by the StuG but is not destroyed and still can give a fight.
The StuG lurks around the town, ready to pounce.
Turn 2: The Mk 6 Light Tanks push up into the town to try and clear the German infantry that are unlucky enough to not be in the buildings. However they are also cannon fodder to distract German focus on other tanks moving up.
A Sherman tank starts peering through the town seeing a destroyed light tank ahead.
A M3 Grant is also moving up behind the Sherman and giving support.
Turn 3: The Allied armour now takes most of the town by attacking the StuG lurking around and finding German artillery nearby.
A Sd Kfz 222 is in combat against the last Mk 6 Light Tank. In the end of the exchange of fire, both get destroyed.
The Scottish infantry start entering the town and are encountering heavy German resistance not found by the armour.
Here is the SdKfz 222 destroyed in the engagement mentioned before.

The StuG gets disabled by the allied tanks
Turn 4: The Allied Sherman and Grant get destroyed and disabled respectively by a FlaK 88 nearby. The armoured advance had bogged down but the infantry are nearby to occupy the town. The StuG gets finished off as well as a few 88 crew.
The Scottish advance into the town but the Germans try a 2 way flanking action and attacking in the front line that was made by the allied tanks that ventured into the town. The German counteroffensive begins.
The Scots race to take the highest building. Once it was taken, a machine gun contingent was placed in the building and the whole town was under the range of the Scottish machine gunners.
Turn 5: The German flanking action is utterly destroyed by the disabled Matilda tank and a few Scots defending the other flank. The German counteroffensive falters with the Scottish machine gunners killing anything that moves in the whole town. The M3 Grant gets finished off by the 88.
Turn 6: Scots rush into the centre of town to claim victory. The Germans seem to lose.
Suddenly an ambush is sprung and the German Mg42s destroy the entire unit in the centre. The Scottish retaliate by using the machine gunners to destroy all German units in the town.
More Scots continue to move in and reinforce the forces further in the town.
The Scottish command starts to move into the town.
Finally the Germans in the town either surrender or flee with extremely high casualties. Most of the Scottish infantry casualties were from the ambush caused the Germans. So in the end, it is a Scottish victory with the Germans unable to hold them off.
